Thoughtfully Restored Victorian Estate

Mountainville Manor is a private three-acre Hudson Valley wedding estate at the base of Schunnemunk Mountain. The restored 19th-century Manor includes two getting-ready suites, indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, cocktail rooms, a wraparound porch, ballroom, fire pit, gardens, and space for tented receptions.

Award Winning Venue and Chef

The kitchen is led by James Beard Award-winning Master Chef Craig Shelton, whose career includes training at El Bulli, Le Bernardin, Bouley, Jamin, and La Côte Basque. Mountainville Manor is family-owned by Lauren and James Abramson, who personally host each celebration and stay closely involved from the first private tour through the wedding day.

Why Couples Choose Mountainville Manor

Lauren and James work directly with couples throughout the planning process, beginning with a private tour and tasting at the Manor. They help shape the timeline, vendor team, family traditions, and details of the celebration, while the Mountainville Manor team handles the coordination.

Packages provide a strong starting point without dictating what the wedding has to look or feel like. Couples can customize and build the day around what matters to them.

Cocktail hour might begin with smoked salmon blini, fluke ceviche, grilled lamb chops, beef tenderloin crostini, and chef-attended stations. Dinner may continue with handmade pasta, Hudson Valley grass-fed beef, shio koji-marinated wild salmon, carefully selected wine pairings, and desserts created for the celebration.

Chef Shelton approaches each wedding as a dining experience, not a banquet menu.

Kind Words

“I have had so many of our guests tell me how much they enjoyed the wedding, especially the food. Someone even told me that the steak was the best they ever had! I hope someone I know decides to get married there so I can experience Mountainville Manor as a guest.”

Indoor, Outdoor & Tented Weddings

Hudson Valley Weddings Up to 225 Guests

Outdoor ceremonies can accommodate up to 225 guests. The ballroom can host an indoor ceremony and reception for up to 150, or an indoor ceremony for up to 225 when the reception is held beneath a tent.

After the ceremony, guests move into the Manor, onto the wraparound porch, and toward the fire pit for cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres. If rain brings the ceremony indoors, cocktail hour continues in separate rooms while the ballroom is reset for dinner and dancing.

A sailcloth or clear-frame tent creates a striking open-air reception for up to 225 guests, with the Victorian Manor and gardens remaining part of the setting throughout the evening.

Guests dine and dance beneath the canopy, then move between the tent, porch, lawn, and fire pit as the night continues. Nearby hotels, inns, and vacation rentals make it easy to stay close for the weekend, though your guests may not be ready to leave.
